day 16: the scene that always makes you cry
I know that Disney movies always end with happily ever after, and even though I knew in that Rapunzel and Eugene would be together, this scene really hit me. For the first time in eighteen years, Rapunzel finally realizes what she wants to do with her life and who she wants to spend it with. All of that comes to a halt as she watches Flynn sail off towards the kingdom. She was sold out by someone she thought she could trust. She was betrayed. And there’s nothing worse than getting your hopes up and then feeling them crumble around you. That’s why this scene always gets me teary-eyed because Rapunzel is such a fragile, innocent girl and this was probably the first time she ever felt anything like that.
Also, I know that Tangled gets a lot of crap just because it’s a CG film, but this scene (and I believe the entire movie) is animated beautifully and emotionally. It’s so real and intimate that you can feel her pain. She’s so human that I don’t know how Disney animators captured it so perfectly.

day 6: the prince you wish loved you
A plethora of Disney fans believe that Flynn Rider is the hottest Disney prince there is. While that may be true, I don’t think of him in that sense. Here’s this rugged, thieving, bad boy who’s put up this front his entire life. He’s completely selfish, in that he’d rather live alone with just piles of money to keep him company. In fact, he only helped Rapunzel leave the tower so that he could get his satchel back. But somewhere in between their near-death experience and confessions at the campfire, Flynn’s hard exterior started to vanish. He let his guard down because of Rapunzel’s genuine care and innocence. Eugene spent years of his life with a fake reputation and it only took Rapunzel a day to change it all. They built this undeniable trust and discovered their attraction towards each other. That’s why he didn’t run. He could have taken the crown and gotten his money. Instead, he realized that he didn’t want to live a lie anymore. There was something that he felt for Rapunzel that was bigger than himself and because of this, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. And even when he was trapped in his cell and later when he stabbed by Gothel, the only thing that mattered to him was Rapunzel. He could have let Rapunzel heal him, but in the end, he’d rather give up his life to see Rapunzel be free. Eugene became selfless.
Yes, Flynn/Eugene may be the best looking Disney Prince, but he’s so much more.
Plus, Zachary Levi is just the most adorable person in the world. Okay? -

Disney Mean Girls (part 2)
I figured that Rapunzel is the new girl at Disney, so she was perfect as Cady. -
